Should I Come Out of The Closet to My Parents?

This is a question that a lot of young gay teens ask online. They are confused and are frightened whether they should come out of the closet. Revealing your sexuality to your parents is one of the hardest things to do as a gay teenager. You will acceptance and love but you know that by coming out, there's a chance that your parents will look at you differently. But here is my opinion on whether you should come out to your parents.

IT REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR AGE.

If you are under 18 years old, you really should consider coming out to your parents ONLY when you are sure that they accept you. Before you take the next step of talking to them and being honest to them, you should find out what they personally think of gay people. If they are liberal and open minded, you should definitely tell them that you are gay because most liberal parents in the United States have accepted their son or daughter being gay. BUT -  if your parents are very religious and conservative, DO NOT come out to them! The reason is because there's a chance they will look at you in a different light. There's also the chance of them kicking you out of the house. (This is rare but it does happen to gay teens in the United States and the rest of the world.)
